A new comedy show...
Christina Ricci is close to signing on to star in NBC's comedy pilot Girlfriend in a Coma, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series comes from Liz Brixius (Nurse Jackie) and Dick Wolf (Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire). It follows Karen (Ricci), who awakes from a coma after almost twenty years to find out she has a 17-year-old daughter from a pregnancy she didn't know she had when she went into the coma.
The series comes form Universal Television and Wolf Films and will be a single-camera comedy. Brixius will write the script and executive produce with Wolf, Danielle Gelber and Peter Jankowski.
