Sheen supports Joe Roth...
TMZ reports that actor Charlie Sheen has come to the defense of Anger Management series producer Joe Roth who is in the midst of a lawsuit with a person claiming he's responsible for the TV version of the movie.
Jason Shuman filed a lawsuit against producer Joe Roth for reportedly cutting Shuman out of the profits for the show. Shuman claims he is responsible for turning the hit movie into a TV show starring Sheen and wants more than $50 million.
Charlie Sheen filed a declaration in the lawsuit in which he stated he was involved in the show from the beginning and at no time did he ever meet with, speak with, or even hear of Jason Shuman. Sheen goes on to say, "there had been a lot of publicity over the preceding few months as to whether I might have my own 'anger management' issues. The irony of my portraying an anger management therapist (as opposed to an anger management patient) appealed to me."
Sheen added, "I also thought that my recent association with anger management situations would appeal to a television audience."
