An investor has filed a lawsuit against a man who claimed to be a producer of Lindsay Lohan's Lifetime movie Liz & Dick in regard to what he claims was an insurance scam. TMZ reports that Michael Braun has filed suit, claiming that he was approached by Rick Schwartz in order to procure money for Liz & Dick. Braun alleges that Schwartz asked for $110,000 in order to get an insurance policy for Lohan.
Braun says he loaned the after some discussion, but when he asked for Schwartz to repay the loan after the film was done, it became obvious that Schwartz was not associated with the film. He says that he confronted Schwartz over it and only managed to recoup $36,313.67. He is suing for the remainder as well as punitive damages for alleged fraud.
Schwartz, incidentally, did work with Lohan as a producer on Machete and Labor Pains.
