Creative differences...
Joe Carnahan is no longer directing Death Wish. Carnahan was set to write and direct the remake of the 1974 Charles Bronson revenge film but Deadline reports that he left the project due to creative differences over the lead on the film. Paramount and MGM reportedly want Bruce Willis to be cast in the role, which was originally played by Charles Bronson.
Carnahan posted to Twitter after the news broke:
