While Lincoln gets left out in the cold...
Argo and Life of Pi were the big winners at the 85th Academy Awards. While Life of Pi won the most awards at the ceremony with four, it was Argo which won the big prize, taking home Best Picture along with Best Editing and Best Adapted Screenplay. Pi, meanwhile, won for Best Director (Ang Lee), Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects and Best Score. Also winning three awards was Les Misérables which won a Best Supporting Actress award for Anne Hathaway, as well Best Makeup and Best Sound Mixing.
Elsewhere, Jennifer Lawrence won Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook, Christophe Waltz won his second Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for Django Unchained and Daniel Day-Lewis became the first man to win three Best Actor awards, taking home the prize for Lincoln. Steven Spielberg's film was otherwise a big loser though, taking home only one other award which was for Best Production Design.
