[TV] Kathy Bates Joins The Cast Of American Horror Story Season 3

TV Line reports that Kathy Bates (Misery, Harry's Law) is in talks to join the cast of American Horror Story season three. She will play the best friend of Lange's new character, who becomes her enemy.
Ryan Murphy hasn't revealed too many details about the season, but did say Lange will play a "glamour cat leading lady" compared to her attire in season two. He also said the season will be more "historical in nature" and take place in modern day. The audience will see different "time periods" and "there [will] also be different cities."
Other former cast members returning include Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga and Frances Conroy.
