Ineffable Pictures has optioned the rights to Lisa Desrochers' Personal Demons book series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The books include Personal Demons, Original Sin and Last Rite. It follows a teen girl with a special ability who is in a love triangle between an angel and a demon who are competing to bring her soul to either heaven or hell.

Desrochers said: "I'm thrilled that Jesse Israel and the Ineffable Pictures team share my love of this trilogy and its characters."

The books have been published in over a dozen territories and was acquired for the US in an auction by Macmillan Publishers' Tor books, which produces science fiction and fantasy titles.
