So much for that rumor...
If you've heard that the Ghostbusters may be coming to the big screen in cartoon form, think again. A report was making the rounds today that Sony was planning to make Ghostbusters 3 an animated film, which was the original plan for the third film in 2007 before morphing into the video game. However, ComingSoon.net has gotten confirmation that the rumor is bogus.
CS.net got word directly from Sony, who denied the report and said they are continuing to develop the third film as a live-action one.
