Sequel to the horror film is a go...
Sinister is getting a sequel. Deadline reports that Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill will co-write the film, though Derrickson may not direct as the site claims that conversations for a director are still in the works. Derrickson will produce the film along with Jason Blum.
The first film starred Ethan Hawke as a true crime novelist struggling to find his next big story who discovers a box of home videos showing other families being brutally murdered, but his investigation soon leads him to a supernatural entity that may be placing his own family in harm's way. It brought in $87.7 million worldwide on a budget of just $3 million.
