[Movies] Mark Wahlberg Says Transformers 4 Will Be Very Different From the First Trilogy
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 03.03.2013

Mark Wahlberg says that Transformers 4 will be quite different from the first three films. Wahlberg told Empire that the film will in fact be a smaller-scale film than the franchise has seen to date.

Wahlberg told Empire of working with Michael Bay, "Michael and I had an amazing experience working together on Pain & Gain...That movie is insane. It's like Boogie Nights meets Pulp Fiction meets Fargo."

He added, "[Michael] made that movie for $25 million and then he asked me if I wanted to work with him again, told me his idea and I said, 'I'm in'...It's very different from the other three." He then joked about the film's smaller scale, saying that it's "just a couple of people in a room talking."

Transformers 4 opens on June 27th, 2014. You can listen to the full interview below, which includes a lot more from Wahlberg:
