[Movies] The Wachowskis Sued For $300 Million Over Matrix Sequels
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.04.2013

TMZ reports that Thomas Althouse is suing Lana and Andy Wachowski for $300 million as he wants credit for the sequels to The Matrix. He claims that the sibling team stole ideas for The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions from his script The Immortals.

He said he submitted the script to Warner Bros in 1993 but never heard back. He added that he finally watched the Matrix films in 2010 and saw similarities to his work. These include plugs in the back of characters' necks, robot-like "agents" dressed in suits, and characters trapped in a train station.

He is suing the Wachowskis, Warner Bros., and producer Joel Silver for copyright infringement. The Matrix franchise has earned around 2 billion.
