Get ready for the Merry Men...
Deadline reports that Dreamworks is planning a new revisionist take on Robin Hood called Merry Men. The pitch was sold for a mid-six figure against seven-figure deal. It will be written by brad Ingelsby and directed by Scott Waugh (Act of Valor). Neal Moritz will produce through Original Film. Waugh will also produce through Bandito Bros. Toby Ascher will be the executive producer.
The film is being described as a "revenge" story similar to The Dirty Dozen and Ocean's Eleven that will be an ensemble piece. It will center on the supporting characters Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian and Will Scarlet.
