The New York Post reports that Jessica Chastain is the first choice to play Jane in the new version of Tarzan.
Alexander Skarsgard is in the running to play the King of the Jungle himself. The Warner Bros. reboot features the titular character assimilated to life in London when Queen Victoria asks him to investigate problems in the Congo. Samuel L. Jackson is rumored to play an ex-mercenary who helps Tarzan save the Congo from a warlord. David Yates (Harry Potter) will direct.
