[Gossip] Demi Moore To Finally File Divorce Papers

The New York Post reports that Demi Moore is finally filing divorce papers sixteen months after splitting up with Ashton Kutcher. She is tired of trying to reach a confidential settlement and the divorce could go to trial.
A source said: "Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi — a lot more than she made — but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn't owe her that much. She has had enough."
Her lawyers could file paperwork in LA as early as today. Kutcher filed papers in December, a year after they split up. She had been hoping to quietly negotiate a settlement then file the papers once the agreement was made. Kutcher is the highest-paid actor on TV, with $24 million last year for Two and a Half Men and he's also an investor in various tech start-ups.
The source added: "Ashton has been very difficult during the talks," the insider said. "You could even say he has been hostile. After over a year of attempting to reach a settlement, Demi is definitely ready to move on. It's hoped lawyers for both sides can reach a settlement this spring, otherwise the divorce will go into litigation and trial."
Kutcher is represented by LA lawyer Laura Wasser while Moore is working with New York attorney William Beslow. Moore announced she was ending the marriage of six years in 2011, which led to speculation about why she never reached a settlement. She was recently in New York on Monday with friends. The source added: "She is healthy and happy, and just wants to move on with her life."
