[Movies] Disney Moving Forward With Oz, the Great and Powerful Sequel

On the eve of the film's release...
Disney is moving ahead with a sequel to Oz, the Great and Powerful. Variety reports that Disney has tapped Mitchell Kapner, who co-wrote the first film, to take on the sequel.
No plot details are available, though it is known that Disney can't use any of the additions from The Wizard of Oz such as Dorothy's ruby slippers, as Warner Bros. owns them. The studio can, however, adapt a new film from the source novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which is public domain.
