Logan returns to write the follow-up to Skyfall...
The Financial Times recently spoke with screenwriter John Logan (Skyfall) who will be returning to write the next James Bond movie.
Logan would not get into story specifics, but Logan did say he plans to continue exploring the layers and emotional character of 007 in the follow-up to the mega-hit that was Skyfall. Logan also said he will again look more to Ian Fleming's interpretation of the character.
Logan stated: "Fleming's courage in showing Bond's fear and vulnerability and depression was really interesting and something that a modern audience can accept. I think Skyfall demonstrated that they want more layers to that character. And those are the layers that Fleming wrote."
Currently, Logan is working with Skyfall actors Judi Dench and Ben Whishaw again for his new play Peter and Alice. The show opens this month in London's West End. The play chronicles a meeting in real-life between Alice Liddell Hargreaves and Peter Llewellyn Davies, the respected inspirations for Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Peter from Peter Pan.
