Star Trek producer Bryan Burk recently spoke with Digital Spy about when Star Trek 3 could be released. 2016 will mark the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, and when asked if the third film could capitalize on that anniversary, he stated the following…
"We're definitely talking about the next one, but we haven't talked about a release date. We don't want to wait four years, the same amount of time between the last one and this one, but it's going to be a big year to celebrate, hopefully."
What could cause an issue with the scheduling of the 2016 release date is Star Wars: Episode VII, which JJ Abrams will be in charge of, and will be released in 2015. More on the story as it develops…
