[Gossip] Celebrity Hackers Claim to Be Inspired by Dexter
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 03.12.2013

Dexter has apparently inspired a new group of criminals, though at least these guys aren't killing people. TMZ reports that the hacking group who have hit several celebrities say that they've been inspired by the Showtime serial killer protagonist.

The hackers' website includes a quote from the Season Two finale which reads "If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve." In addition, there is a link in the source code to the end credits theme music for the show.

How the hackers have chosen their victims--who include Kim Kardashian, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Donald Trump, Al Gore, and Hulk Hogan--is unclear.
