[Movies] Drew Barrymore Officially Joins Adam Sandler's Next Romantic Comedy

Variety reports that Drew Barrymore has been confirmed for Adam Sandler's next untitled romantic comedy. She was previously considered a front-runner for the female lead.
Frank Coraci will direct from a script by Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera. It follows a couple who after a bad blind date are stuck together in a family resort with their children from previous marriages.
Happy Madison will produce with Mike Karz and Josie Rosen is executive producing for Karz and Gulfstream Pictures. Production will begin in May.
Sandler has worked with Coraci (The Wedding Singer, Click, The Waterboy) three times and Barrymore twice (The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates). Both previous Sandler/Barrymore films earned over $100 million worldwide.
