[Movies] Wes Craven Talks About the Future of the Scream Franchise
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 03.13.2013

JoBlo.com spoke with director Wes Craven during SXSW in Austin, TX about Scream 5 and the future of the series:

"So far I have not heard anything about SCREAM 5 from Bob Weinstein. There is some talk about a television series, but I don't think anything has moved forward on that yet. Scream 4 was released in 2011 and reportedly cost $40 million. The movie made only $38 million domestically and $97 million worldwide making it the worst box office performer in the series.

Craven is currently developing Coming of Rage, a comic collaboration with Steve Niles. The story is a road trip tale about a vampire, a werewolf, and a zombie.
