Warner Bros. has announced that Jupiter Ascending, from Andy and Lana Wachowski (directors of The Matrix and Cloud Atlas) is set for a July 25, 2014 release date. They've also set the new boxing comedy Grudge Match for November 15, 2013 from its original January 10, 2014 release.
Jupiter Ascending stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Eddie Redmayne, Sean Bean, Douglas Booth and Tuppence Middleton. the story will focus on higher forms of life who are watching us from other worlds. Kunis is set to play a Russian immigrant who is scrubs toilets for a living. Unbeknownst to her, she actually has the same perfect genetic makeup as the Queen of the Universe and is a threat to the queen's immortal rule.
The date puts the movie against Bret Ratner's Hercules starring Dwayne Johnson.
Grudge Match stars Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro, Kevin Hart, Kim Basinger and Alan Arkin. the movie revolves around retired boxers Billy "The Kid" McDonnen and Henry "Razor" Sharp, lifelong rivals who come out of retirement and into the ring for one final grudge match, 50 years after their last title fight.
