[Movies] Colossus Returning for X-Men: Days of Future Past
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 03.15.2013

Bryan Singer has revealed that Colossues is coming back for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Singer posted the following set of actor headshots to Twitter, which shows all the currently-revealed cast members plus a few others:

The names not yet announced on the list have been confirmed. The first is Daniel Cudmore, who played Colossus in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. The second is Fan Bingbing (Battle of the Warriors), who will play the teleporting Blink and the third is Boo Boo Stewart from The Twilight Saga; his role is as yet unknown. They join Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy and Halle Berry.

Blink is an interesting choice because in the comics she doesn't come until much later, showing up as part of the nascent Generation X team in the Phalanx Covenant storyline of 1994. She died shortly after her first appearance and stayed so in that timeline until she was resurrected in the 2009 "Necrosha" story arc by the Black Queen, Selene. It is perhaps significant to note that she showed up in the Age of Apocalypse alternate universe storyline. Apocalypse has been rumored for an appearance in the film. That's just speculation though.

The film will be released on July 18, 2014.
