[Movies} Warner Bros. President Shoots Down Christopher Nolan Justice League Rumors
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.11.2013

Anyone hoping for Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale to team up and help bring DC's next comic book properties to life will be disappointed by this one. Entertainment Weekly has spoken with Warner Bros. President Jeff Robinov about the rumors that the two were set to return for Justice League and confirmed that the rumor is false.

When asked about whether the rumor (initially reported by Latino Review) was true, Rubinov said unequivocally, "No, it's not." Nolan's reps were even more forthcoming, confirming that Nolan has never been involved with Justice League and is focused entirely on his next film Interstellar.

On the (arguably) plus side, Man of Steel producer Chris Roven said that there will indeed be films (such as Justice League) to be spun off from the Superman film. Roven said, "It's setting the tone for what the movies are going to be like going forward, In that, Man of Steel is definitely a first step. Nolan's Dark Knight series was deliberately and smartly positioned as a stand-alone. The world the films lived in was very isolated, without any knowledge of other superheroes. What Zack and Chris have done with this film is allow you to really introduce other characters into the same world."
