UPDATED: [Gossip] Reese Witherspoon Cancels Appearances On Talk Shows After Arrest
Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.23.2013

UPDATE FOX 5 in Atlanta (via TMZ) has released footage of Reese Witherspoon's arrest in Atlanta over the weekend.

The footage shows Witherspoon in handcuffs, moments after the initial arrest. She was led out of a police cruiser, then the handcuffs were removed and she was taken inside for booking. She appears to be calm in the video.

According to the police report, she told the officer: "You're about to find out who I am ... You are going to be on national news."

Original: The Washington Post reports that Reese Witherspoon has canceled appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America just three days after she was arrested for disorderly conduct on Friday in Atlanta.

She was arrested after her husband was pulled over for DUI and she would not listen to the cop and stay in her car. She kept asking the officer if he knew her name and then said that he was about to find out who she is. This was all during her husband's sobriety test. The incident did become a story like she predicted, except she was painted as the irresponsible celebrity who should have hired a driver.

Witherspoon later apologized and said: "I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said." She added that she was "frightened for my husband" at the time.

She said: "I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."

She was scheduled to appear on Late Night and Good Morning America to promote her new film Mud. The GMA segment would have been taped yesterday and aired tomorrow.
