CBS wins the night...
The NFL draft and the NBA playoffs caused the broadcast networks to take a hit last night, as it resulted in lower ratings all around. American Idol had its lowest demographic rating ever for a regularly scheduled episode. The Big Bang Theory was down 15% in both viewers and the demographic compared to last week. Hannibal hit a series low and The Vampire Diaries was hurt with its "Originals" planted spinoff episode. Scandal had some success as it returned from three weeks off to tie its series high in the demo.
CBS won with 11.9 million viewers and a 7.5 rating/12 share in households. It was followed by FOX (8.2 million, 5.0/8), ABC (6.4 million, 4.4/7), NBC (2.45 million 1.7/3) and The CW (1.7 million, 1.2/2).
In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS won again with a 2.6 rating, followed by ABC (2.2), FOX (2.2), NBC (1.1) and The CW (0.7).
