Plus new shows like CSI: New York & 4400 coming to the service...
CBS and Netflix have announced that they are extending their multiyear licensing agreement to air select CBS-made TV series on the service. The agreement will see popular CBS series such as Jericho, Medium and all generations of Star Trek on the service, as well as the arrival of new titles like L.A. Complex, 4400 and CSI: NY.
The announcement comes as Netflix continues to expand its original slate of programming with Orange is the New Black, premiering on the 11th, already renewed for a new season. Netflix is looking to combine its original shows like Orange, House of Cards and Arrested Development with its library content from the various TV production companies to keep a leg up on hungry competitors like Amazon and Hulu.
Also included in the deal is an extension of the streaming rights for Twin Peaks and the addition of The 4400.
