[Movies] Bryan Singer Reveals How Quicksilver Will Be Shot In X-Men: Days of Future Past Posted by Joseph Lee on 08.06.2013
The brightest set ever...
Bryan Singer has revealed a new set photo from X-Men: Days of Future Past on Twitter that shows exactly how the shots of Quicksilver (Evan Peters) running will be captured.
Singer wrote: "Brightest set I've ever filmed on. "#3600framespersecond #Quicksilver"
Singer appears to be capturing the footage in extreme slow motion. 3600 frames per second will appear 150 times slower than standard film and requires more lighting to expose each frame.
Here's a synopsis: The film is based on the comic book storyline "Days of Future Past," which ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981 during Chris Claremont and John Byrne's run and introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.
The film stars Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Boo Boo Stewart. It will be released on May 23, 2014.
