No Harry Potter in the spinoff...
The Daily Mirror spoke with Daniel Radcliffe at the launch of Sky's new drama season, and he revealed that he will not appear in JK Rowling's Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. The new films will be written by Rowling herself. He also said that Emma Watson and Rupert Grint will not be involved either.
He said: "Needless to say I wouldn't be involved, and I guess none of the others will be, but I know nothing about it."
She announced last week that the new film would not be a prequel or a sequel, but just another part of that world.
"The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt's story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry's gets underway."
The film is based on the story of fictional author Newt Scamander. The film is expected to be the first in a series. Over 450 million copies of the Potter books have been sold. Meanwhile, Rowling's The Casual Vacancy, an adult novel, is being made into a TV series by the BBC.
