[TV] Ratings: The Voice and The Blacklist Win Big For NBC

"Hostages" and "Mom" don't do well...
Last night was the first official night of the 2013-14 TV season and NBC won thanks to The voice (which improved on the debut ratings for both of last season's cycles) and The Blacklist (which led its hour in the demographic). Blacklist opened slightly below Revolution last year, but against tougher competition. CBS's How I Met Your Mother improved on last season's premiere but 2 Broke Girls was down. New shows Mom and Hostages had disappointing premiers. ABC's Castle was up from its 2012 premiere while Bones and Sleepy Hollow fell from last week.
NBC won with just under 14 million viewers and an 8.3 rating/13 share in households, followed by ABC (12.7 million, 8.3/13), CBS (8.3 million, 5.3/8), FOX (7.6 million) and The CW (726,000, 0.5/1).
In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC won again with a 4.6 rating, followed by CBS (2.7) FOX (2.5), ABC (2.3) and The CW (0.2).
