[Movies] Samuel L. Jackson Confirms That Elizabeth Olsen Is In Avengers: Age of Ultron
Posted by Joseph Lee on 10.03.2013

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Samuel L. Jackson spoke about his cameo on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Nick Fury on Tuesday night.

He said: "I'm still playing the same guy, it's the same process. I just show up and they turn the cameras on and we do it."

The episode brought in 8.4 million viewers, which is good for its time slot. However, it was down 34% from its debut (11.9 million). The scene features Fury complaining to Agent Coulson for damaging SHIELD's aircraft, which include a huge hole in the hull. He shouted: "You know I have the authority to downgrade your a to a Winnebago.

ABC had previously hinted at the cameo, telling viewers to tune in through the closing credits. This is something Marvel does for their feature films.

When asked about The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jackson said: "I don't think we begin shooting before March of next year. I know we're shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen [who will play the Scarlet Witch], but I don't know what she's doing, if she's on the inside or the outside. I haven't seen a script."

In a previous interview with Joss Whedon (co-creator and executive producer), he said that he will try to make Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. part of the larger Marvel cinematic universe, but doesn't want the cameos to overshadow the cast.

He said in July at the San Diego Comic Con: "We may see some people and more people from the Marvel Universe that are not cinematic. The most important people are these people [the cast]."
