A crime thriller...
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures is set to remake the South African crime thriller iNumber Number. The film was written and directed by Donovan Marsh and premiered at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious series) and Emile Gladstone will produce through Chris Morgan Productions, along with Aram Tertzakian of XYZ Films.
The original film followed an honest undercover cop who is cheated from a major promotion and sets up a heist to help get rich. Things get complicated when the other criminals find out who he is and hold his partner hostage. Marsh will not write or direct the remake, and both the studio and producers are looking for a new writer.
The film will be executive produced by XYZ's Nate Bolotin and Nick Spicer. Ainsley Davies will oversee for Chris Morgan Productions and Kyle Franke for XYZ. Vice president of production Anikah McLaren and creative executive Chloe Yellin will oversee for Universal.
