What is happening in China?
Some new details have been reported for the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction movie. The South China Morning Post spoke with director Michael Bay who said, "We are not destroying Hong Kong."
Bay also spoke about the Hong Kong set in Detroit and added, "there was a lot of dynamite." When Bay was asked if Hong Kong serves as a refuge for the Autobots from the Decepticons, Bay said, "I can't tell you how they get here. They are not rescuing Hong Kong but definitely rescuing something."
Also, Seibertron has a report regarding one of the Hong Kong locations in the film. One particular location is said to be a "a heroic turning point scene, which takes place after the fall of Hong Kong."
The report goes on to say, "A group of Transformers will meet up with another group Transformers where they battle their way out of a crater (Wulong Karst is known for it's sink holes) that was apparently created by a crashed starship. After the Wulong Karst battle they return to Hong Kong."
