[Movies] Need for Speed Director Working On Heist Movie For Dreamworks
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.12.2013

According to The Hollywood Reporter reports that Need for Speed director Scott Waugh, who is in post-production on that film, is in talks to direct a heist film for Dreamworks. Steve Zaillian will produce for Film Rites. Dreamworks' Garrett Basch will executive produce.

Scott Rosenberg (Con Air, Beautiful Girls) wrote the script. It follows a man who needs to pull off an impossible job and brings on his "off the rails" brother. It is based on an original idea by John Hlavin (The Shield, Underworld: Awakening).

Waugh is part of Bandito Brothers with Mike McKoy. The two directed 2012's Act of Valor and produced the Danny Way documentary Waiting for Lighting.

Need for Speed stars Aaron Paul and Dakota Johnson. It will be out on March 14, 2014.
