[TV] Ratings: NBC's Live Version Of The Sound of Music Brings In Best Thursday Audience Since 2004

A huge win...
NBC's live version of The Sound of Music brought the Peacock its best audience on Thursday since 2004 It easily won both measures, even beating The Big Bang Theory in their common half-hour in total viewers (but not the demographic). The last time NBC had that big of an audience on Thursday, not including sports, was the Frasier series finale. Meanwhile, Scandal was up over its last original episode, pending updates for ABC's Houston affiliate airing an NFL game. The X Factor and Glee were up from last week. The Vampire Diaries was down from its last original episode two weeks ago.
NBC won with 18.5 million viewers and a 10.6 rating/16 share in households. It was followed by CBS (9.5 million, 6.0/9), ABC (6.6 million, 4.4/7), FOX (4 million, 2.5/4) and The CW (1.95 million, 1.3/2).
In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC won again with a 4.6 rating, followed by CBS (2.5), ABC (2.2), FOX (1.2) and The CW (0.8).
