[TV] Family Guy Reportedly Resurrecting Brian This Month
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 12.06.2013

Well, you can't say you didn't see this one coming. As you likely recall, Family Guy shocked viewers by killing off the family dog Brian in the November 24th episode. Brian was even given a burial, but he won't have stayed dead for long before he comes back, according to EW, in the December 15th episode.

The site, which notes that a rep for Fox declined comment, says that how the Seth McFarlane-voiced character will return is not yet known. However, it will not be a one-time appearance and he will continue to play a role on ths show.

Brian's death, which according to executive producer Steve Callaghan was to "shake things up," was widely protested on the internet with a petition to bring him back garnering over 125,000 signees. This is not an unexpected development; the second that the episode (titled "Christmas Guy" revealed the synopsis that "Stewie devises a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas" speculation began that the dog would return.
