[Movies] Friday Night Lights Movie Is Dead
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 12.09.2013

While there has been a campaign by both fans and cast members to get a movie version of the Friday Night Lights TV series off the ground (as opposed to the original Friday Night Lights which the series was based on), it's time for those campaigning to pack it in. Peter Berg told Collider that a film version of the series, which Berg and actress Connie Nielsen have been pushing for, won't happen.

Berg said, "There's not gonna be a movie. We talked about it, some people thought it was a good idea, some didn't. I've come to believe it's probably not a good idea and I seriously doubt it's gonna happen."

Taylor Kitsch agreed, telling Vulture, "I'll just say no. No, period. I'm not doing it. I'm never gonna be in that movie. There was already a movie! And the show ended f*ckin' spot-on. We're good."
