The Sing Off returned last night on NBC to higher ratings than its last season, up a half a point in the adults 18-49 demographic from its 2011 premiere (when it was a weekly series instead of a two-week special). The Voice was a lead-in and itself was even in the demographic and up in viewers. Meanwhile, the premiere of The Great Christmas Light Fight had decent ratings for ABC, higher than last year's debut of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Almost Human was up for FOX and Mike & Molly was down for CBS on a night that included mostly reruns for that network.
NBC won with 9.9 million viewers and a 6.1 rating/9 share in households, followed by ABC (6.5 million, 3.9/6), FOX (6.25 million, 3.9/6), CBS (5.3 million, 3.5/5) and the CW (918,000, 0.6/1). In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC won again with a 2.8 rating followed by FOX (2.0), ABC (1.6), CBS (1.3) and The CW (0.3).
