[Movies] We're The Millers Director To Helm Spy Comedy Central Intelligence
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.21.2013

According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Rawson Marshall Thurber (We're The Millers, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh) has signed on to direct the spy comedy Central Intelligence for New Line. He will also re-write the script by Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen. Ed Helms is attached to star. Dean Parisot was originally going to direct for Universal, but Helms asked that production be put on hold when he committed to a third Hangover movie. The film then went to New Line.

The film focuses on an accountant who reconnects with a friend on Facebook and gets involved with the world of international espionage. Sean Anders and John Morrison, as well as Peter Steinfeld, have also worked on the script.
Scott Stuber, Peter Principato and Paul Young will produce and Helms will executive produce.

We're the Millers, which starred Jason Sudekis and Jennifer Aniston, earned $150 million domestically (the top domestic comedy) and $269 million worldwide.
