[VIDEO] Extended Preview Released For The Following Season Two
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.03.2014

- A new extended promo for The Following season two has been released which features scenes from the show and interviews with the cast. The season premieres on January 19 at 10 PM ET (7 PM PT) right after the NFC Championship Game (6-10 PM ET). It will then continue on its Monday night schedule on January 27.

Here's a synopsis: Season 2 will catch up with Ryan Hardy (Bacon) one year later in the wake of an horrific new murder spree. The FBI calls on Ryan and Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore) to speak with the lone survivor, LILY (Connie Nielsen), in order to help them solve the case. Ryan is reluctant to re-engage with the FBI but finds a valuable ally in his niece, Max (Jessica Stroup), an NYPD cop working in the Intel Division. As the investigation proceeds, Ryan crosses paths with several complicated individuals, including Luke (Sam Underwood) and Mandy Lang (Tiffany Boone), which furthers his suspicion that Joe Carroll's (Purefoy) reign of terror is far from over.

This season sees Valorie Curry return as Emma. New cast mmebers include Valerie Cruz ("an NYPD cop who works closely with Mike Weston"), James McDaniel as an FBI agent, Keith Carradine as a friend of Ryan, Jacinda Barrett as Julia ("a disarming and alluring woman with mysterious intentions"), and Lee Tergesen as Kurt Bolen ("a seemingly normal family man who may harbor a dark secret").
