[Movies] Joe Johnston To Direct Extinction

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger, The Rocketeer) will direct a new alien invasion film called Extinction for Good Universe. Spenser Cohen wrote the script. David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville will produce.

The film focuses on a man trying to save his family during an alien invasion. The rest of the plot is being kept secret. The project was acquired this past summer. Mandeville's Alex Young will executive produce.

Johnston is also known for his work on The Wolfman, Jurassic Park and Jumanji. His last film was Blumhouse's thriller Not Safe for Work, starring Max Minghella.
