[Movies] Mark Romanek in Talks to Direct Boston Strangler Film for Warner Bros.
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.08.2014

Variety reports that director Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo, Never Let Me Go) is in talks to direct the Boston Strangler film for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Casey Affleck is currently attached to star in and executive produce the film. He will be playing the detective investigating a series of murders that to this day are not wholly solved. The film will follow the story of a series of year-and-a-half long serial murders that led to the deaths of more than a dozen women in Boston in the early 1960's. Albert DeSalvo was later arrested and confessed to the crimes, although there is said to still be doubt whether or not he was the only party involved.

Kevin McCormick is producing the film through his Langley Park Productions banner.
