TMZ reports that actor Shia LaBeouf, who recently announced that he was retiring from "public life," paid a skywriting company $25,000 for his latest stunt.
Most recently, LaBeouf hired the skywriting company Skytypers to write the message "STOP CREATING" in big letters above Los Angeles. According to a rep from Skytypers, they were contacted by LaBeouf's people on Friday morning, shortly after he announced his retirement from "public life" as a result of his recent plagiarism scandal.
The Skytypers company used five planes for the job. They each flew wing-to-wing to create the "STOP CREATING" puffs of smoke above Los Angeles.
This isn't the first time LaBeouf pulled a skywriting stunt. He previously hired planes to write "I am sorry Daniel Clowes." This is in reference to the creator of the graphic novel he's accused of plagiarizing for his short film HowardCantour.com.
