[Movies] Rupert Friend in Talks to Replace Paul Walker as Agent 47 in Hitman Reboot
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.11.2014

The Wrap reports that actor Rupert Friend (Homeland) is in talks to replace the late Paul Walker for the role of Agent 47 in the new Hitman film.

The film, based on the hit videogame franchise, would be a reboot of the 2007 film that starred Timothy Olyphant. The new film is set to be directed by Aleksander Bach from a script Kyle Ward, Skip Woods, and Michael Finch.

Paul Walker was attached to star in the Agent 47 role once he wrapped filming Fast & Furious 7, but he was tragically killed in a car crash during filming. Friend is reportedly nearing a deal to take over the role of the assassin.

Friend is represented by CAA and 42 out of London.
