[TV] NBC Orders Pilot for Constantine
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 01.13.2014

As you may remember, a TV series based on the DC/Vertigo book Constantine was put into development late last year. That pilot took a step further today, with Deadline reporting that NBC has ordered a pilot for the series. The pilot was written by David S. Goyer and Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist), and is believed to focus on the more, shall we say, "family-oriented" New 52 take on the character.

The character is an Alan Moore creation, having first appeared in Swamp Thing in 1985 before getting his own series in 1988. John Constatine is an antihero-esque magical detective and con man. He was previously seen on screen in 2005's Constantine starring Keanu Reeves and may be a character in Guillermo Del Toro's Justice League Dark.
