[TV] Sherlock Season 4 Could Debut At The End of the Year
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.14.2014

The Sun (via Zap2It) reports that Sherlock's fourth season could premiere on the BBC as early as Christmas 2014. The network is hoping to fast-track the return.

A source said: "The BBC is desperate for a 'Sherlock' Christmas Day special this year. It wants its biggest guns ready."

Of course this is only a rumor for now and should be treated as such. Any production on the fourth season will need to work around the busy movie schedules of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have previously said that they have storylines worked out for the next two seasons. There was a two year wait between seasons two and three.

US audiences will be able to see the third season on Sunday, January 19 at 10 PM on PBS.
