[TV] Showtime President Says Dexter Spin-Off Still Being Discussed
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 01.16.2014

During Showtime's TCA panel on Thursday, network president David Nevins revealed (via STYD) that they are still discussing a spin-off for Dexter. Rumors of a spin-off were rampant through the show's final season and Nevin confirmed that discussions are ongoing regarding it.

"It's something we continue to talk about," he said. "If we were to do it, we would have to have a very good reason to do it. It would have to feel like it's a new show. I'm not interested in doing it if it's just a continuationů There have been some light, ongoing conversations. It hasn't really gone anywhere yet."

As to the potential involvement of Michael C. Hall, who played Dexter Morgan, Nevins said, "I think if we were to do it, I would only do it if it with Michael."
