[TV] UPDATED: Reaper Creators Set To Work On Marvel's Agent Carter

UPDATE: Marvel confirmed at the TCA press tour today (via IGN) that they are working on an Agent Carter TV series that would see Hayley Atwell reprising her role as Peggy Carter. ABC president Paul Lee has seen the script and loves it; he confirmed that Reaper creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are involved. The pilot was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who wrote Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Lee didn't say he had ordered a pilot yet but did note that the show "has a great chance of showing up on the network."


ORIGINAL: Deadline reports that Reaper creators Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas have signed on for Marvel's new series Agent Carter, which is being set up at ABC. The two will write and executive produce.

The series is inspired by the Agent Carter one-shot that appeared on the Blu-ray release of Iron Man 3. It will see the return of Captain America's love interest Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) as she deals with life as a secret agent after Cap is frozen in ice.

Butters and Fazekas signed on as a result of their overall deal with ABC Studios. They are also showrunners on the upcoming drama Resurrection, also at ABC.
