[Movies] Josh Gad Rumored To Play The Thing In Fantastic Four Reboot
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.28.2014

Movies.com reports that Josh Gad (Frozen, Jobs) is 20th Century Fox's top choice to play Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, in Josh Trank's reboot of Fantastic Four.

This is only a rumor for now as no one has been officially announced. There are still rumors that Miles Teller will play Reed Richards while Michael B. Jordan plays Johnny Storm. Gad fits the age of those two. There's a chance he could provide a mostly vocal performance if the Thing is entirely CG. Gad previously voiced Olaf in Disney's Frozen, which has earned over $800 million worldwide.

The Twitter account of someone claiming to be Trank has denied the rumor. However, the Twitter account hasn't been verified so it's hard to tell if it actually is the director or not.
