An ATM may have caught it...
Fox News reports that police are trying to find surveillance video at a bank where a man told cops he witnesses Philip Seymour Hoffman buying drugs from two men the night before his death.
A man claims he saw Hoffman take out a large amount of cash from an ATM at a bank hear his West Village apartment at 8 PM Saturday night. The witness claims he saw Hoffman hand over the money and appear to buy drugs from two men, both wearing messenger bags and seemingly working together. The witness claimed Hoffman looked "very sweaty" and "like s**t."
Hoffman was found dead from an apparent drug overdose by his screenwriter friend around 11 AM Sunday morning. He had a needle in his arm filled with heroin. Police are looking for surveillance footage from the cameras above the ATM, but they haven't found it as of last night. Hoffman's trip to the ATM is believed to be the last time he was seen alive.
A neighbor said that he saw Hoffman looking "grey" and "not well" at 10:30 AM Saturday when he bought Kleenex tissues and soda, among other items. As previously reported, police are looking to find out if Hoffman injected a lethal batch of heroin that has killed hundreds of people in the country. He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Mimi O'Donnell, and their three children.
