Philip Seymour Hoffman Said He Was Destined To Die Of Overdose
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.04.2014

TMZ reports that Philip Seymour Hoffman had a heroin binge six weeks before he died and told friends he thought he was destined to fatally overdose. Sources claim that in December Hoffman told them he started injecting himself with heroin and couldn't stop, getting clean for a few days and then starting back up again.

He went back to AA to try to get sober but it didn't work. During the last six weeks he looked dirty and unkempt. When someone asked him how bad his habit was, he said: "If I don't stop I know I'm gonna die."

Hoffman was also drinking a lot, which led to the decisions that led to heroin use. Hoffman went to AA meetings over the last four years and was considered a "guru" because he had been sober for so long. He gave inspirational speeches to those in attendance.
